Vanderbilt, Belmont and Lipscomb University are expanding their student population at rapid rates and with that come an increase in rental demand. Belmont University has doubled its enrollment in the past ten years. Lipscomb University has increased enrollment 50% over the last five years. For real estate investors the timing and opportunity are a good combination. Parents often decide to invest in real estate while their children are in school and then keep those investments after graduation.
Nashville’s median home price is $189,900 as of June 2011, making buying affordable.
