Economic Good News for Spring Hill TN – New Jobs to the Area
United Auto Workers (UAW) officials believe there is a good chance the Spring Hill TN General Motors facility will reopen. The Spring Hill TN facility has been operating in a substantially reduced mode employing about 1,000 employees in engine manufacturing and other areas since November, 2009. Last week GM said it would recall 2,000 workers this year. UAW Vice President Joe Ashton reported to the Automotive News website “We will have full employment in September for the first time in a long time.”
New Jobs for Thompson Station TN
With the additional announcement this week of Mars Petcare’s Headquarters projected for Thompsons Station TN, the business and Thompsons Station TN real estate energy and Spring Hill TN seems brighter. Mars Petcare has 54 acres near SR 840 and Columbia Pike under contract. This would open about 650 jobs among existing employees at Mars Petcare and Nutro offices, which are currently both in Franklin. The campus will also feature a dining facility and a walking trail.
