Franklin TN Main Street Festival coming soon!
Every year beautiful downtown Franklin TN hosts their Franklin TN Main Street Festival. For two days, arts, crafts, and foods are represented by over 200 vendors. With three stages, the musical venues are continuous and showcase the talent of Tennessee.
The festival offers a variety of family oriented activities. This Franklin TN event usually draws 100,000 people. The Franklin TN Main Street Festival features free admission! The activities are open Saturday, April 30 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some special activities start Thursday.
The “Come Together,” exhibit courtesy of Yoko Ono, features art work by Beatle John Lennon, and features more than 100 pieces. The exhibit opening Friday, April 29th will be at Gray’s Building on Main Street. A $2 charge will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank for Greater Nashville TN.
Franklin TN Main Street Festival Carnival will be on site from Thursday, April 28th through Sunday. Thursday night and all day Sunday are “wristband” days. A $20 wristband will give access to all the rides.
Entertainment at Franklin TN Main Street Festival
Entertainment will include three stages of continuous music. The stage at 4th Avenue North will feature thirteen different bands including country, bluegrass and western swing. On Saturday night a street dance will top the night off. The stage at City Hall on the square will feature various Franklin TN dance schools and the Williamson County Community Band.
The third stage will be the Beer/Wine Garden Stage at 4th Avenue South. Eight different bands will play over the two day festival. Saturday night The Fabulous Suedes will perform at 8:15 p.m. to host a street dance for ages 21 and up.
Franklin TN Main Street Festival is an annual event which benefits The Heritage Foundation of Franklin TN and Williamson County and the Downtown Franklin Association. Their goal is protect and retain the architectural, geographic, and cultural heritage of Franklin TN and Williamson County. They also focus on economic revitalization of downtown Franklin TN.
