SOL Restaurant in Franklin TN
A Cinco Celebration will take place at SOL Restaurant, 403 Main St., Franklin TN, starting at 5:00, Thursday, May 4. This Mexican restaurant is hoping to break the Guinness Book record for the largest Tequila Toast in the world!
In order to accommodate the attendees, Main Street from 4th to 5th Avenues will be closed. The Franklin TN tequila toast will take place at 7:00 pm. Frank Ortega and the Small Time Rock Stars will perform. This Franklin TN event will cost $5. Proceeds from the Tequila Toast will be donated to the Mercy Children’s Clinic of Franklin.

Cinco de Mayo at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin TN
Also an option to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Franklin TN later in the month will be a free event on Saturday, May 21, 2011. This 11th annual event will be held in Harlinsdale Farm on Franklin Rd across from The Factory. This event is sponsored by a group of Williamson County churches, business and organizations who coordinate the event yearly. Many community support groups will be represented and offering information about their services. It will be held from 12 noon until 4:00 pm, with registration starting at 11 am. Attendance last year was 3,500 and it continues to grow each year! Did I mention – the event is free!
Cinco de Mayo at Chuy’s in Franklin TN
And don’t forget Chuy’s Franklin TN. Located on Mallory Lane just south of Cool Springs Blvd, the Texas based Mexican food restaurant celebrates Cinco de Mayo offering margaritas and some of the best TexMex fare in Franklin TN. Always a party atmosphere at Chuy’s, the Franklin TN restaurant is always busy with those who truly appreciate the TexMex cuisine.
